Mally Harpaz + SpaceAcre + Juju live at The Louisiana, Bristol. Saturday, 13th January 2024#
Blind Dog Studio Presents is coming to Bristol with another event celebrating music and artists from off the beaten track
Unleashing melodic storms with every song, the 24-year-old solo artist Juju casts swirling mixes of alt-rock, emotive dark pop and electrically charged vocals. Echoes of influences conjure up a blend of PJ Harvey's grit, Kate Bush's ethereal charm and Florence + The Machine's raw power.
Blind Dog Studio Presents is delighted to welcome Juju back, this time with her full band.

Mally Harpaz, a London based composer and multi instrumentalist (Anna Calvi, James Marples, Hazel Iris) will be performing her original compositions from her debut solo album Zoom In Zoom Out, distinct pieces which were mainly written as part of a collaboration with award-winning video artist Clara Aparicio Yoldi, along with some new yet unreleased material. Mally’s reverence for the profound creates mysterious melodic lines and shares a luscious ambience with other contemporary pioneers.
“There are some compositions that were created to inspire, and Mally Harpaz’s 'Zoom In Zoom Out' is fuelled by them... Zoom In Zoom Out is a score; tracks like ‘Voices’ and ‘Not Without Pain’ say everything that has to be said: to anyone, wherever they are when listening. For me, a dark room through studio headphones with an aching soul” - Get in Her Ears
“Mally Harpaz is a multi-instrumentalist and a daring experimenter and “Zoom in zoom out” is the shining and exciting manifesto of her talent. “Zoom in Zoom out” is a jumble of sounds expressed with great poetry and effect, a jumble of sounds that, with great intrinsic tension, unleash in us irrepressible emotions. At times, listening to this album, one has the impression that the music wants to question us” and dig inside us” - System Failure

SpaceAcre are an Alt Rock duo from London. In a collision of opposing musical forces, a sort of controlled chaos, Phoebe Little and Jas Scott forge something that’s alive with fire in its belly. Amid heavy drums and menacing grooves, haunting melodies are made almost tangible by Phoebe’s spine-tingling vocals and the pair’s devastating yet resonant lyrics.
They will be performing songs from their new EP “That Girl” as a 3 piece with their drummer, Alex Thomas.
“Sending shivers straight down the spine from the very first hummed bar, SpaceAcre delivers nothing short of an immersive sonic sound bath". Wonderland Magazine.
"A female powerhouse - London Grammar meets Muse. A really great band...absolutely obsessed." Honor Morrison, BBC Introducing.
