Jakabol + Dye + Surface Air live at The Louisiana, Bristol. Thursday, 5th December 2024
Jakabol - Psychedelic l Doom Folk
Carving their own path through contemporary folk, psych/acid freak outs and synth drenched Doom, Jakabol are an experimental music collective based in Bristol. Inspired by the cinematic energy of bands like Mahavishnu Orchestra, King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, and Lankum, they create genre-bending, kaleidoscopic musical experiences.
"Totally breathtaking" - At The Barrier on Jakaob’s debut album Jaded Temple
"Bucolic one minute, psychotic the next" - The Guardian
Dye - Contemporary l Alternative Metal
Drawing heavily on influences from the 90's grunge wave and 00's metal bands, DYE are a bold new presence in the Bristol music scene. Having spent 2024 focussed on writing, they are thrilled to share their live debut at the Louisiana.
Surface Air - Post Punk l Prog
Risen from the splintering bone ashes of prog, punk and the remains of no-wave, Surface air will be gracing the stage with none other than Joe Williams of Jakabol fame on the bass guitar. Thus completing the lineup consisting of Ex My Octopus Mind / Ogives Big Band heavyweight drummer Oli Cocup and Windshakes / Sevilles very own guitar genius and part time medieval knife swallower, Killian Lee.
Show starts at 8pm.
