Foxhole + Peacelily + The Zaffiros live at The Louisiana, Bristol. Friday, 12th April 2024
Foxhole
“Foxhole is a four-piece alternative rock band from the South West, England. Their first EP 'In Case of Inspiration, Pick Up' was released in 2021 and sent shockwaves through the local scene. After a lineup change at the end of 2021, the band welcomed Andy Obeyesekere on lead guitar and Mitch Strauss on bass. They shortly released their second EP titled ‘Brainstorm’ in March 2023 and with their three night EP launch across three venues with seven bands across as support, they solidified their name in the local scene as a notable up and coming band in the South West. Their tight live energy has converted many since their inception. A unique blend of indie, grunge, emo and punk rock make for a heavy-hitting wall of sound, with plenty of riffs and sudden chaos when you least expect it.”
The Zaffiros
“The Zaffiros are an alternative rock 3 piece from South West England. Striving to blend atmosphere, crushing riffs and floating harmonies to evoke a journey of emotions throughout each song. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Royal Blood, Radiohead and Tesseract, strong melodies and rhythm are huge inspirations to the music and are pushed to the forefront of every element. Filling out venues in Bristol and Exeter such as the Thekla, the Fleece, The Phoenix, Move and many more, they are adept to getting crowds moving and leaving an impact.”
Peacelily
“Known for their chaotic and intense live performances, Asher and Neve, better known as the two-piece punk band Peacelily, blend hard-hitting riffs with politically charged lyrics culminating in a sound that has been described as ‘The bastard child of Sleaford Mods and Royal Blood’ Ultimately, they are a band that need to be seen to be believed. Formed in 2018 under their old name Swine, they cut their teeth on the Cornish and Plymouth alt scene, quickly garnering a tight knit following. Shortly after moving to Bristol, they decided to undergo a rebrand to better reflect their ever-evolving sound. In the past few years, they’ve supported artists such as Turbowolf, Subhumans and Wych Elm, in addition to playing many of Bristol’s best-known venues including The Louisiana, The Fleece, Bristol Beacon and The Exchange. “The Bristol based twosome made enough noise for a four or five piece. The pace relentless, the talent obvious. The room, packed and moshing.” – The Bristol Gig Guide.”
Show starts at 8:00pm.
